Unity Challenge- June/July

I used Scribble Scrabble Sweet Shop. Seemed appropriate. This is supposed to have a summer theme so I made it warm Indian summer colors.

UNITY SKETCH CHALLENGE

Happy Fourth of July

For those who celebrate Liberty and Justice... citizenship in a country is not always gained by birthright so I also commend those who understand the Constitution and come here to the USA legally to celebrate a new life, a new beginning where freedom rings! May God Bless America!!

Unity Stamp Co June Sketch Challenge

Just a quick post... used several different stamps from different KOMs... mittens, gift packages (hard to see on the list tag) and the sentiment. Here is the sketch:
And here is my take:

I turned the center stripe as the reindeer just seemed to want to fly:)

Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger: Rainbow Bright

This was a hard one as I had no patterened paper in the right shades
I so desired. I resorted to stamps and cardstock and safety pins- haha...

The chair stamp is from Unity and the letter stamps were in an unmarked package. Here is my inside sentiment:

This is the Tuesday Trigger:

Cosmopolitan Neopolitan

Cracked up when I first saw this challenge-
I honest to goodness was eating neopolitan ice cream. My son doesn't like it so I buy it on purpose-heehee:) I know alot of us are doing ice cream in some manner and how can you not with the warm weather finally hitting most of us! I have enjoyed looking at everyone's creations. It's so nice to see so many crafty women around the world...
Here is my card
using Bazzil cardstock and DCWV matstack Garden Party (one of my favs). There's a whole section of neopolitan colors inside. The ice cream cone and cherry are cut with Gypsy and Cricut cartridges ( Indie and and I think the kitchen one...hmmm may have to check on that... Join Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger every week. This card is for Joe who never fails to make something even better:)

Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger: Classically Modern

It was so amazing when I saw this photo
as I had been looking at this gorgeous blue paper by GCD (Blue Floral from the Artsy Urban Collection) and trying to decide how to use it. It was a sketch waiting to happen. Loved that pop of pink! And the Dazzle flowers worked so well!!!

I hope to be playing along more for this challenge:) Come join in the fun; Tuesday Trigger!!!

Chevron

First challenge I have done for the Moxie Fab World... all these challenges are helping me get more done. Paper used for this challenge is from the Prima Umbrella line. So appropriate as this Spring has been mostly rainy. Yet, the colors of Spring are still all around and very refreshing!

Tooty Fruity-Unity Style

Dug out some Berry Sweet by K & Co. to make this card. Only have two fruit stamps so I may make only this card for this challenge depending on my time. Hope you all are enjoying your spring. I am seeing some sun peeking through the clouds so I may go sit on the deck for some vitamins:)

Steve and Maribel's Wedding Day

This scrapbook page is a long promised one for a friend at work. I decided to keep away from flowers and bling. The more neutral colors will tie in to most color schemes depending on where it will be displayed( I am framing it for them).
Unity Stamp Co. has a new sketch challenge each month in which we are to use stamps from a kit of the month.

I have only used a sketch once before and it really does help! I just choose my colors and embellies and plug them in. I stayed pretty much true to the sketch this month as it really worked with the paper line I chose; Kaisercratft's Up, Up and Away collection. I used only sentiment stamps from March 2011 KOM. Three perfect stamps celebrating a new beginnning. Plus these two like to travel... it just all came together so well:)

Bright and Cheery Thank You

Wasn't gonna blog this after seeing a card that was similar in color and circles but not for this challenge. But, I decided what the heck I made it before I saw the post. This is my third and maybe final submission for this month's challenge.
I need to spend a few days scrapbooking in honor of NSD!!!:) Then will be back for next month's challenge. I also plan on entering the Unity sketch challenge... maybe that's what I'll use when I scrap! I also plan on entering some submission calls for Paper Crafts Mag. I don't think I am at the caliber of most card makers they accept but it's fun to try and it may happen someday that I get something published. Yikes; this has turned into a rambling:)

Chicks Rule

Second entry for the newest Unity Challenge: Tweet Tweet! Many have used this cute chick with the glasses but it was the first image I saw from the Unity Stamp Company's April kit and just adored and wanted to create something other than a card. I saw a post on another blog about an explosion purse using dies. Since I don't have the dies I scored my own purse looking at the picture. Wasn't hard at all:) I cut a label from my Cricut using the Gypsy to resize and glues to back of purse. Punched two holes on top for ribbon and used Wafer Thin Fasteners (Peel and Stick Premated Ovals) from Velcro to secure the front. The glasses are a separate stamp (there are actually three) from the chick. I would show the inside but am still not sure how to decorate so will add to post later. Happy Monday!!

Fine Feathered Friends

Unity's new challenge is to use birds in your project. There are so many to choose from so I may be making several items! The first is just a fun card with alot of fussy cutting( the birds),
paper piecing and dimension.

I ended up using five Unity stamps- wow! Sorry I don't know all kits without going to the Unity site and writing them all down:) Have a beautiful Easter; He is risen!!!

Unity Fashion Forward Challenge

Unity challenge #2 is all about fashion. Well... since I am not a fashion diva but do enjoy bling, I will play along:) I guess the sentiment says what I feel about fashion; Just Be You! I stamped both the sentiment and image in black then immediately covered with super fine glitter and let dry then brushed off the excess. It was hard to capture it real well on camera but I loved the effect. And you know what? I wouldn't mind a tank top that said Live Laugh Love in sparkles!

Carrots!!!!

Hmmm... wonder if Anne Shirley would mind these carrots... My mom gave me some cones and I immediately thought of carrots for Easter. I did save three for possible Christmas trees! These were super simple; just covered each with paper and used either ribbon or paper for the greens. Very whimsical and cheerful. Now I just have to make some eggs to go with:) And maybe some bunnies and chicks. Christ is risen!

Busy Stamping

I am new to blogging but hopefully it will become old hand. I decided to join all my crafty sisters out there and start posting my work for the world to see... well maybe just a few people...LOL! So be kind if I screw up posts or mess up links:) I may need to purchase HTML for Dummies! My first project is for Unity Stamps Monthly Challenge. This month we were to use hearts. If you know me... I am a heart fanatic. I have one wall in my shabby home dedicated to hearts and love so this should be easy. Well, I didn't want to be boring and do my usual cards and there was this chip container sitting around.... Spring is close so making a vase just seemed right. After designing it (with ***6*** Unity stamps) I went to Michaels in search of some spring blooms. I picked up tulips but the Gerber daisies seemed to call out my name. They sureseemed BIG but for some reason I love the result and I smile when I look at them and the vase... happy, happy, happy, happy, happy... YES!!!! http://
